Gull Exclusion Netting
Gulls like to congregate on large, open roofs.
Seagull Exclusion Netting
Probably the most effective method of keeping gulls off buildings is to enclose roof and plant areas using seagull net; installed over the top and sides of shopping centre roofs, office buildings and even car parks.
Seagull netting is made from tough, UV-stabilised polyethylene that is knotted into 75mm mesh squares that will not rot, degrade in sunlight or absorb water. This exclusion system is supported using stanchions around the perimeter of the area with stainless steel cables used to tension and maintain the shape and height of the net over the affected area.
When installed properly, it will prevent gulls from landing, roosting at night and nesting during the Spring and Summer months, while the birds will be prevented from settling and causing a build-up of drain-choking droppings for the remainder of the year.
